1986-1988 – Worked in Real Estate Sales & Leasing at ‘Douglas Terry Estate Agency’ in London, England. Hired as the Leasing Coordinator for France and South Africa at ‘Trans Ocean’ shipping company
1988 – Received ‘Green Card’ in an immigration lottery and moved to the United States
1988 – Worked for US State Department in Washington DC as a security guard and tour guide
Traveled down East Coast on the old Highway 1, exploring all the States along the way.
1989-1991– Worked for ‘Bellmont Hotel & Convention Center’, Baton Rouge, Louisiana in Hotel Sales & Conventions, (tour and travel guide for France). Promoted to Executive Housekeeper with a staff of 30.
1991 – Traveled across country to California
1991-2003- Worked at the ‘Salinas Californian’ in the Real Estate advertising department. Became Classified Manager in 1998.
1995-1998 – Board member, Womens’ Crisis Center in Salinas
2001 – Moved to Soledad!
2003 – Began as a REALTOR with Legacy Real Estate group, (where I work to this day).
Hobbies : Freelance writing for ‘The Salinas Californian’ and a weekly column with South County Papers called ‘Window on the World’ that continues to this day.
