William A. Silva is a fourth generation Monterey County resident. His great grandfather was one of Carmel’s founding artists in the early 1900s and his father graduated from Carmel High School. Since 1994, Mr. Silva and his wife have called Monterey County home, where they have raised their four children. He met his wife at Duke University, where he received his BA in 1991 with a triple major in Public Policy Studies, Comparative Area Studies, and Spanish. He is currently enrolled at University of Southern California earning a Masters in Urban Planning.

Mr. Silva has a rich history in real estate, construction, and development:

Mr. Silva is the sole owner and the Managing Broker of Legacy Real Estate Group, Inc., a retail brokerage firm. Legacy has numerous real estate agents working in Monterey and Soledad offices. He is versed in new home sales, residential resale, commercial property leasing and sales. He also oversaw the sale of more than 300 distressed properties (REO and Short Sales) since 2008. He has a working knowledge of real estate law, agency, and legal disclosures pertaining to real estate.

Mr. Silva is the President and owner of Woodman Development Company, Inc. Since 1994, he has been directly involved in the planning and development of more than 3000 residential units in Monterey County. He has also overseen the construction and sale of more than 700 of those homes. He has also developed retail shopping centers and commercial office buildings. He currently focuses on land use, development, and entitlement consulting for numerous clients.

Mr. Silva is the owner and President of Century Construction Group, Inc., a general contracting firm he formed in 2011 for custom construction projects and non-tract housing. He has extensive experience in high end construction. He is also the President and an owner of Citizens Realty & Development, Inc. which focused on asset management of real estate investments, both income producing properties and loans secured by real property.

Mr. Silva founded Regency Management Group, Inc., a property management company for community associations. He helped build the company to management of more than 1500 units before selling the company to his partner in 2012. He has experience with Davis Stirling and association management.

Mr. Silva is a California Real Estate Broker (#01251325) and a licensed General Contractor (#767747). He is also a member of the California and National Association of Realtors. He is a current Planning Commission for the City of Seaside and has served on numerous Boards of Directors for community organizations and property owners’ associations.
